How Hypnotism Can Work for Children
At our very first session we take an assessment which means that we spent time with both you and your child to understand where the problem may lie. Where possible we like the child to answer as many of the questions as possible for that we can understand their viewpoint. Once we understand the reasons for the possible issue then we begin work on the problem by using deep relaxation techniques. Please note that unlike adults children will react in a different way to adults whilst in hypnosis. An adult tends to look quiet and still as if they are asleep with their eyes closes but a child will move around more and use their imaginaton in an interactive way with the therapist. As young children tire easily we never have an appointment longer than an hour. If the child is beginning to get tired or restless so we stop the session at that point.*

Sleep Hypnosis for Children
Just like adults children can also experience problems with their sleep. One of the biggest culprits for problems with sleep is staying up too late playing with tablets or computers or in smaller children minor fears and worries such as a fear of the dark. Our sessions will cover work related to sleep hygiene as well as relaxation and stress reduction to quieten the mind. Please note that it is very important that sleep hygiene rules are observed otherwise the mind will stay active and not respond to our stress reduction techniques. Removal of tablets and phones before bed is not a punishment for the child but an essential part of helping them to get a good nights rest.
